Laurie Baedke, FACHE, CMPE
President and CEO
Laurie Baedke, FACHE, is the president and founding partner of The LIFEworks Healthcare Group. A well-respected consultant in the field of healthcare leadership and physician practice administration, Laurie is a board certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), a member of the Medical Group Management Association and a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She has served on the ACHE’s Regent’s Advisory Council in Nebraska since 2001, the Board of Directors for the Heartland Healthcare Executive Group since 2000, the ACHE Chapter Committee since 2005, and the Nebraska Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Board of Directors since 2005.

Laurie was the recipient of the ACHE Regent’s Early Career Excellence Award (Nebraska) in 2001, as well as the ACHE Regent’s Award for Healthcare Excellence (District 5) in 2004.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services and business administration, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and is a member of the adjunct faculty at Creighton University and Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska.  Immediately prior to forming LIFEworks, Laurie was the Vice President of Clinic Operations for MCH Health System in Blair, Nebraska.

David Grandy
Vice President
David Grandy is a Vice President of The LIFEworks Healthcare Group and focuses on hospital based consulting and operations.  Prior to joining the firm, Grandy served for nine years in various operations positions with Alegent Health, most recently as the Interim Executive for Operations at Alegent Health Immanuel Medical Center.  In this capacity, David was widely known for developing innovative solutions and programs, including some that gained national recognition.

David is the current president of the Heartland Healthcare Executive Group, a member of the Regent’s Advisory Council (ACHE), and a past research fellow for an NIH sponsored program studying the ethical implications of genetic technology.  David was a Medallion Scholar at Western Michigan University, the highest honor given to incoming students.  In addition, he was a Department of Philosophy Award winner, a Presidential Scholar and was inducted into the Convocation of Scholars, recognizing outstanding alumni of the Western Michigan University Honors College.  In 2006, David received the Regent’s Early Career Excellence Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Eric Mooss, CHE
Vice President
Eric currently serves as a Vice President of The LIFEworks Healthcare Group. In this role, Eric is engaged in physician practice management, healthcare recruiting, and strategic planning. Prior to joining LIFEworks, Eric worked as the Operations Director of Radiation Oncology for Alegent Health.  Eric received his B.S. in Health Administration and Policy from Creighton University and his MHA from the University of Iowa.  Eric is a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Eric is a member of the ACHE Nebraska Regent's Advisory Council, appointed to address professional development issues and ACHE's growth in Nebraska. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Heartland Healthcare Executive Group, a fully-chartered chapter of ACHE. He has volunteered for One World Community Health Center, the Nebraska AIDS Project, the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity.  His honors include the ACHE Early Career Excellence Award, presented by the ACHE Regent for Nebraska to one outstanding early careerist; the John W. Colloton Leadership Award, voted by peers as the most likely to make outstanding contributions to the healthcare industry; the College of Public Health Dean's Outstanding Achievement Award, given to one minority student in the College for outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments; and the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Senior Award, the highest award granted by the College of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University.
